The Two Days You're Actually Choosing Between
Friday, August 14 runs 4 PM to 10 PM — an evening visit, likely cooler and a bit more relaxed. Saturday, August 15 runs 11 AM to 10 PM and is the bigger day, with an expanded kids zone and the festival's headline live music. If someone in your group needs to pace themselves, Friday evening is generally the gentler option; Saturday means more hours on your feet, but also more going on if that's what you're there for.
What "Fairgrounds" Means for Walking
A festival built around 50+ food trucks isn't contained in one small area — trucks, seating, stages, and vendor booths are typically spread across a wide outdoor lot, with grass or gravel sections mixed in with any paved paths. Add in the walk from parking, time spent standing in line at each truck you want to try, and backtracking for restrooms or a second helping, and the total distance covered adds up fast, especially in mid-August heat. None of that is a problem if you're moving freely — but it's exactly the kind of day where a mobility scooter turns "we should probably skip it" into "let's go."
