Columbus Oktoberfest returns to the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds September 11–13, 2026 — two entertainment halls, polka bands, an arts and crafts area, a kids' zone, and the annual cream puff eating contest that's become one of the weekend's better-known traditions. It runs three days, but those three days don't feel the same at all. Friday Evening: Smaller Crowd, Later Start

If you want to see the whole event, Saturday is the day. But it's also the day where distances between halls feel longer because you're moving through the thickest crowds, and where finding a seat near the music gets competitive. This is the day a scooter earns its keep the most — it turns "let's just see one hall and head home" into "let's actually stay for the afternoon."
Sunday: A Family Day With an Earlier End
